This St Patrick's Day themed fly-swatting activity is for practicing the rhythmic concepts of the quarter note (ta), paired eighth notes (ti-ti), the quarter rest (ta rest) and the half note (ta-a).

Project onto a whiteboard or Smartboard for best results.

The first set of 16 slides have one rhythmic pattern per slide for you to prepare your students before playing the game. The next set of 12 slides each have two rhythmic patterns per page. The third set of 8 slides have three rhythmic patterns per page and the last four slides have four patterns.

This activity could be used for as a team game and also for assessment purposes.
