Trying to get through St. Patrick's Day without getting pinched? Don't worry, you can still do academic review, but also bring the fun of St. Patrick's Day in your classroom! This pack can be done in one day (or more if needed) with little preparation. Just pick and choose what works for you. This is intended to help you survive what can be a crazy, crazy day at school!
This set is great for 2nd graders to 5th graders! Just be sure to read the descriptions below to be sure it fits your needs. Feel free to ask any questions!

where students describe how they would go about catching a leprechaun. From using an elaborate set up and some trickery, to a physical trap students will describe how they would lure and trap a leprechaun in order to get three wishes, or even his gold!
♦ Map Skills - "Hidden Leprechaun (Grid Map)"
: Students will follow directions on the intermediate version) to place locations where instructed using the coordinates as well as cardinal directions. The basic version has the locations already placed, but students will answer questions based on their locations and possible paths to and from locations.
TWO versions are included:
- basic cardinal directions (all answers include north, east, south, or west)
- intermediate cardinal directions (all answers include north, east, south, west, northeast, northwest, southeast, or southwest)
♦ Science - "Shiny Pennies" or "Mystery Solution"
students will either test three different solutions to see which produces the shiniest penny, or will guess what the "mystery solution" of vinegar and salt found in the leprechaun's home will do to pennies. Both versions come with their own lab sheet, and there are tips and instructions for you to explain how this works! (You will need pennies, vinegar, and table salt)
