Product Description
St. Patrick's Day Activity. “From Cool to Cloverlicious” was created as a super fun way for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The word “Cloverlicious” is the merging of the words “Clover” + “Delicious.”

Here’s how it works: students read a brief, but endearing, St. Patrick’s Day poem from Mr. Clover and Miss Clover asking for help and assistance for a St. Patrick’s Day “makeover”. With partners, students discuss and write down ideas on how Mr. Clover and Miss Clover can go from “Cool” to “Cloverlicious”. When it’s time for the big St. Patrick’s Day makeover “reveal,” students take a gallery walk around the classroom and use “thumbs up” cards to “like” the best clover makeover. This LOW-PREP resource is guaranteed St. Patrick’s Day fun for your kiddos!

What's included:
*“From Cool to Cloverlicious” Student Cover
*“A New Me”, Original Poem (1 with clover background, 1 without clover background)
*“From Cool to Cloverlicious” Student Idea Pages (1 idea page for Mr. Clover, 1 idea page for Miss Clover)
*“From Cool to Cloverlicious” Makeover Pages (1 for Mr. Clover, 1 for Miss Clover)
*“Thumbs Up” for Cloverlicious Like Cards

Suggestions/Gentle Reminders:
*Because this resource has been created using “landscape” orientation (11 x 8.5), you may want to make a “test copy” BEFORE copying a class set. Pages that are produced in “landscape” (11 x 8.5) sometimes have to be arranged a certain way in order to be copied correctly.
*Because the pages can be used in any order, they have not been numbered. If you’d like, you may have your kiddos number the pages themselves.
*There are “thumbs up” like cards included with this resource. You may want to have your kiddos color the cards BEFORE cutting them out.
*The poem should be read and modeled by you a few times BEFORE letting the students practice reading it themselves. Eventually, the poem is to be read from the point of view of Mr. Clover and Miss Clover asking for a St. Patrick’s Day makeover. TIP: having the class choral read the poem together is a fun way to get your kiddos reading!

Here’s to your “Cloverlicious” St. Patrick’s Day! :)
