This is played in a similar manner to the Guess Who game.
You will need: 2 copies of the board containing St. Patrick’s Day items., 2 copies of the page with the Irish flags cut out (or bingo chips)., 1 file folder.
Give each student a board. Put a barrier (such as a file folder) between them so they can’t see each other’s boards. One student chooses a picture on his/her board. The other student asks yes/no questions until they determine the chosen picture.
Barrier games are an excellent way to teach descriptive expressive language skills as well as question formulation skills. Pragmatics are also targeted with this activity.
