What educators are saying

I used this resource to take a break from our normal homeschool schedule so we could study St. Patricks day! Great book selection!

Description

Take the fun of St. Patrick's Day and challenge your students with reading highly engaging books and doing these lesson companions! Read three picture books and one chapter book all with the St. Patrick's Day theme. Then, with each book work on a standard with an engaging whole group lesson and an individual or group practice activity!

Why will these lessons help your students grow?

Engagement- Your students will LOVE each of these stories and the activities that go with them.

Rigorous- These lessons work on skills that help students analyze a text.

Low Prep- All you have to do is provide the books (most of the books are free on EPIC)! Everything else is ready to go!

What's Included?

Each Lesson Plan Comes With:

1. Discussion Questions for the Mentor Text

2. A Whole Group Activity

3. A Partner or Small Group Activity

4. All Materials Needed for the Activities

The Mentor Texts Are:

The books are as follows:

1. Fiona’s Luck by Teresa Bateman

Lesson Focus- Context Clues- using them to define words and creating sentences with them

I wanted my students to hear GREAT literature. While doing that I wanted them to also learn about reading skills and analyzing text. This product was created to do just that! I hope your kids love it too!
