Here are some activities to keep your little learners busy this St. Patrick's Day.
First, there is a Write Around the Room activity with a MYSTERY WORD. Your students will find and write the words around the room; then using the highlighted letters of each word, they will make a new word. There are 8 different words to find and write. The highlighted letters in each of the 8 words spells shamrock, which is the "mystery word." As usual, there is a version that is a "save my ink" version, using less background colors.
Second, there is a Count and Write Around the Room activity, focusing on subtraction. Post these subtraction cards around the room, for work on the go. This version works on practicing subtraction skills, with the highest number no more than 10. This is a differentiated activity, in that there are 3 varying levels to record student work. Students count, then subtract the crossed out quantities, then either write the answer (easier recording sheet) or the whole equation (more difficult recording sheet). On the longer blank, students write the word of the item counted. The last recording sheet has students writing the whole equation and representing the equation on a number line. Again, one set of cards in this set is an "ink saving" set.
Third, there is a BONUS set, which is not otherwise for sale in my store. Inside this "Lucky Math" pack are some "Spinner Math" worksheets. There are three worksheets focusing on addition and subtraction with two problem solving sheets.
Fun on St. Patrick's Day!!
