Three different cause and effect games and St. Patrick’s Day fun! Learning about the traditions, history and legends behind the Irish patron saint, these printable cards are an incredibly fun speaking and listening activity to build upon the comprehension skills of cause and effect. These are activities that I use to practice the trans-disciplinary skills of cooperation, social, communication and thinking to name a few. It is great for literacy centers activties as well as cooperative group work and guided reading.
This is developing listening and observational skills as well as communication, presentation and thinking skills.
3 sets of differentiated cards altogether.
There are 2 sets of 16 cards and 1 set of 20 within this packet, an instruction card and title card for your centers if you wish. They can be used for 3rd-5th grade.
There are 3 games within this packet.
The cards are differentiated in such a way that some have more text than others. You can distribute the cards to your students as you see necessary. Those marked with a shamrock have more challenging text.
Only 2 sets of cards state CAUSE and EFFECT.
One set of cards is unmarked to increase the rigor with thinking and understanding.
One set of cards has only the effect and the children have to create their own cause for each effect.
