Description

#filluponluck My kids love close reading song lyrics, so I thought we would put a little Irish, St. Patrick's Day spin on this and close read some traditional Irish and St. Patrick's Day songs. Also included is a Fun Fact page of St. Patrick's Day, so your kids can learn just a bit more about the history and present day traditions and celebrations surrounding the Irish holiday.

Also check out the ULTIMATE St. Patrick's Day Bundle by clicking here!

Song lyrics are included for 4 traditional songs, along with 2-3 close read questions for each. Also included are a theme, author's purpose, and analyzing text graphic organize to help deepen understanding.

Songs included are:
*The Unicorn
*The Leprechaun
*That's An Irish Lullaby
*A Little Bit of Heaven

Students will deepen their understanding and use critical thinking skills to understand the meaning of the song with the questions included.

The songs will create conversation with your students which will have them thinking deeply while reading the text.

Look for more close reading songs soon in my TpT store. :)
