Coding is a fun and engaging way for students to build their critical thinking and problem solving skills through a STEM coding activity. Use these two fun St. Patrick's Day themed challenges to engage your students in a critical thinking activity or as a way to incorporate coding without technology. There are two different activities at two different difficulty levels for students making differentiation easy. There are also 6 game boards for each activity so students can complete the activity many times as the game boards are all different. Students create a program using codes by following the story for how to catch a leprechaun. Written and visual instructions are included so you can use which ever your students need. An extra set of modified directions allows you to have an easier coding activity in addition to the different level game boards.

Use these coding activities for a STEM lesson or in a center for science and critical thinking skills. Students can play independently, in pairs or in small groups. You don't need any additional materials other than printing out the pages you want to use.
