Just in time for St. Patricks Day, a color-by-note clover. This activity will complement seasonal activities as well as activities focusing on music notation. The activity uses note value identification (quarter note, eighth note pairs, half note, and whole notes as well as their corresponding rests) and pitch identification (low C to middle of the staff C) to guide coloring the clover.
This activity features ONE puzzle modified 8 ways to fit your classroom needs. Four of the versions suggest the use of a holiday themed color pallet. Of these, one version provides note symbols in the coloring key. The other version provides written names of the note symbols (requiring name identification). Also included are the same puzzles (note symbols and written names) but without the color suggestions. The colors have been left blank so you can fill in what colors work best for you and your students. This is a great activity to reinforce your students' music reading skills -- and it's fun too!
