In this St. Patrick's Day counting game children race to collect 20 gold coins to fill their ten frames.  Perfect to use as a math center, this activity works on number recognition, counting skills and number knowledge to 20.

To prepare this resource, print and laminate one game board per child.  Assemble the die included.  Children roll the die to add coins (or counters) to their board.  If the cheeky leprechaun is rolled, children must remove one coin from their board!  The first to collect 20 coins is the winner. Black & white options are included if you would like to save ink!

Storage tip:  Secure the laminated die together with tape.  When you need to store the game, simply remove the tape and flatten the die out.
