Description

This St. Patrick’s Day Race to 20, 50, or 100 Counting Numbers Game is a fun and engaging way for students to practice counting numbers up to 20, 50, or 100.  Students roll the dice and race to get to 20, 50, or 100.

Ways to Use:

This counting game is great for math centers or small groups. It even works well to send home for extra practice.

To Play the Game: This game works best in small groups with 2-6 players. Choose which board to use depending on how high you want students to count. Each player will need their own board. Students take turns rolling a number cube and placing small counters on the board. The number on the cube is the number of counters added during each turn. Students start at number 1 and continue adding more counters until they reach the end of the board at 20, 50, or 100.

You will need to provide students with a number cube and a set of small game pieces (counting chips, cubes, coins, buttons, bears, etc.) to cover the numbers on the game board. You could also use dry erase markers on the player cards for a write and wipe activity.
