St. Patrick's Day Craftivity - A Grammar Craftivity for St. Patrick's Day
Get your students thinking about St. Patrick’s Day and some facts behind the tradition with this St. Patrick’s Day craftivity. Students will correct the grammar on sentences about St. Patrick’s Day (errors include capital letters, ending punctuation, apostrophe usage, comma usage, homonyms, and spelling) and then dig deeper to explain why they made the corrections. They will then decorate the panels, and assemble the resource into a 3D activity, perfect for display.
This resource contains options for two different sizes – one on full sheets (great for display in a larger area and more space for writing answers), and one on half sheets (great for smaller display areas and shorter answers). Print only the size you need. I have also included a blank template for both sizes. You can use this blank template to add in your own questions (or differentiate the questions for the different levels of students in your class), or use as a cover page in case you want to assemble the craftivity into a flip-book format rather than a 3D resource.
A rubric and answer key is also included for formative or summative assessment.
You have three different options for printing (you want your craftivity to be sturdy enough to stand on its own):
- Print on white construction paper
- Print on cardstock
- Print on regular paper, then glue onto construction paper and cut out around shape
For easier completion, be sure students complete each page BEFORE they assemble the craftivity.
This resource is included in my Holiday Craftivity Bundle which contains 10 different holiday themed craftivities to take you through the entire year.
