The Paper Leprechaun
Read The Paper Leprechaun poem to the students.
Have students build their paper leprechaun using the parts provided in this packet. They color, cut and glue him together. Make sure you tell them to separate the gold from the leprechaun so they can try to catch him when he comes to life to find it. Have the students hid the gold. (In their desks or in the room.) When they are at lunch, mess up the room and leave the note from the leprechaun who tried to find his gold. You can leave chocolate gold coins on their desk too, for added fun. I sprinkle a little green glitter around, knock down chairs, papers and add green foot prints to the floor. The kids LOVE IT!
This includes 4 pages (Directions, Poem, Build a Leprechaun craft and a Friendly note written from Lucky the Leprechaun for your students to find) 6 pages if you want to include the cover and credits page at the end.
You can also find this in my, St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Unit Kids LOVE by Teacher's Brain.
