This St. Patrick's Day Writing Craftivity Pack combines writing / language instruction with fun crafts that allow students to create personalized and original pieces that showcase their creativity. They connect the holiday to students' own lives making learning more meaningful.

It includes 3 fun crafts with writing prompts plus a bonus color mixing activity that enables students to discover how to make various shades of green and a bonus shamrock suncatcher craft.

There are multiple options for each craftivity allowing you to pick and choose which is best for your students.

Since students take great pride in their artwork and love seeing it displayed, suggestions for classroom display titles / phrases are provided.

Leprechaun Writing Craftivity - Students create leprechauns holding pots of gold and complete the writing prompt "If I had a pot of gold..." or "I would hide my pot of gold...".

Students draw or create a leprechaun face or instructions are provided for using students' photos instead. The leprechaun's beard/hair can be made using tear art (terrific fine motor skill practice!) or tissue paper squares. Patterns are provided for the leprechaun hat, belt buckle, shamrock hat decoration, and leprechaun hands.

2 writing prompts are provided each with lined or unlined options.

A Rainbow is... craftivity - This writing craft helps students connect the colors of the rainbow to objects in their own environment. For each color students write and/or draw something of that color and create a rainbow coming out of a cloud.

You receive writing prompt color strips for the real colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) AND for the color purple in case your younger students have trouble recognizing indigo and violet (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple).

I'm Lucky to Be Me craftivity - Students complete the writing prompt "I'm lucky to be me because..." on a "lucky" four leaf clover. Options for using student's names or student photos are provided.

Bonus Color Mixing Craft - Students discover what 2 colors make green and how to create various shades of green while painting a shamrock.

Bonus 2: Shamrock Suncatchers - Students create suncatchers using various shades of green tissue paper.
