This Dual Language Bundle was created by La Profesora Frida and Gramma Elliott.
It contains 6 separate products that are described below. You are free to share parts of this bundle with colleagues. The materials in the bundle are meant to meet a wide range of student needs.
HOW MANY WORDS PUZZLES:
The Spanish puzzles included in this packet are wonderful to use for literacy centers, but are also great for fast finishers!
Each lesson provides opportunities to create rhyming words, homophones, contractions, abbreviations and a host of other word forms.
Tactile Word Tiles are included for your students who may need a manipulative to more easily see words they can create using the letters provided. Students can cut the tiles apart and create new words using the letters right on their desk tops.
BOGGLE TYPE PUZZLES:
"Boggle" type puzzles with a St. Patrick's Day theme! On each page there is a 4 x 4 grid for students to find hidden words.
These game pages are suitable for students from year 1 through high school (You know what's right for your students!). Boggle is best used as an early finisher activity or used in small group or independent spelling rotation or literacy centers.
There is a "How to play" instructional worksheet with examples built right in. There are also 2 posters to help remind students how to play.
English version and Spanish versions of the Word Cards are included in this bundle:
Beautiful, hand painted St. Patrick's Day word cards in Spanish. 24 separate St. Patrick's Day cards that can be used for a variety of purposes:
Flashcards, Bulletin Board Decorations, Memory / Concentration, Literacy Centers, Word Walls
Each card is provided in color and grayscale.
Each word is also separately included on flashcards.
Dark , medium, and light green shamrock background papers for cutting as you wish to display the word cards.
TRACE THE WORDS CARDS:
This set of “Trace the Words Cards” is an excellent way to introduce or review the St. Patrick’s Day Vocabulary with your students, especially those who need a little extra practice. The laminated cards or personal mini-book are the perfect addition to a literacy center and a motivating tool for intervention tutoring. Learning to read and spell words is reinforced by writing on a “wipe off” surface. It feels different from pencil and paper and seems easier for many students.
1. Print the color or grayscale pages on paper or card stock.
2. Cut the cards apart, and laminate.
3. Find a dry erase pen
4. Introduce the activity; watch the students learn
5. Wipe off the markings with a tiny bit of water. (Students can learn to wipe.)
6. The cards are ready for the next student.
7. You may want to print the pages (grayscale or color) on paper for students to make their own personal mini-book for review. (attach with staples, book rings or comb binding)
The words in this package are included in both color and grayscale:
Balloons, Cabbage, Celtic cross, Celtic knot, Fiddle, Flag, Gold, Green flower, Harp, Hat, Horseshoe, Irish bagpipes, Irish dance, Irish lace, Leprechaun,
Lucky clover, Pipe, Pot of gold, Potato, Rainbow, Saint Patrick, shamrock
COMPOSITION AND NOTECARD PAPER:
Student compositions look good on decorated paper. Write short notes, compliments, reminders, invitations, thank you notes, and requests on these “friendly” note cards. I hope you enjoy these cards for the month of March. Encourage children to write notes to grandparents, parents, siblings, other relatives, and friends.
This packet includes 18 unique full-page composition paper, some with lines, some without lines, half in color, half in grayscale. I have, also, included small (4 per page) 24 unique note cards half in color and half in grayscale. Print as many as you need for a class or family. I appreciate it when teachers encourage their colleagues to buy them for their own classes, but I understand that sharing is sometimes necessary.
Encourage children to write notes to grandparents, parents, siblings, other relatives, and friends.
Use the writing paper for sentences or short compositions, or ask the students to write their spelling words for the week.
All the pictures are painted by Gramma Elliott and most appear in her other educational products. You can write to her at GrammaElliottCreations@gmail.com if you have questions or requests.
I appreciate your positive feedback!
