Suggested Use:
- Pass out an Author's Purpose Card and Writing Prompt Page to each student. Have them write a story to go along with their card. For example, if they get a persuade card and candy writing page, the student can write an advertisement trying to get you to buy the candy.
- Laminate the colored cards for use each year or let students color their own Author's Purpose Card.
- This activity is more fun if you give the students, the item they are writing about (like the candy).
- There is a blank on one page if you prefer to use something different from the writing prompts provided.
