Scavenger hunts are a student favorite in my classroom. They are easy to prep, give students the opportunity to check their own work as they go, and get students up and moving around the classroom! This scavenger hunt has 14 questions which require students to compare fractions, simplify fractions, and add and subtract fractions. Simply hang the problems in random order around the classroom, give students a student recording sheet, and assign students a problem to start on. Students will work through the problems at their own pace, finding their next problem by looking at their answer to the previous problem. The problems create a loop, so after students have solved all 14 problems they will be back where they started.
