Common Core Language Arts Aligned St. Patrick’s Day Printables are just what your First Grade class needs to celebrate the day in an “educational way”. Read a story and answer comprehension questions dealing with character, setting, sequence of events, and closure/ending sentence. Label a picture with vocabulary words. Color the picture and write a narrative story too. Practice subject/verb agreement, use temporal words in text, add adjectives and prepositions to sentences, as well as edit sentences for capitalization and punctuation.
When your principal or curriculum director walks in, just point to the CCSS labels at the bottom of the page. Then show them how engaged your students are while completing these worksheets.
Aligned to First Grade Common Core, yet they would be great review for 2nd grade students as well.
