This is a set of eight St. Patrick's Themed Math Centers for Fifth Grade! Most of the tasks have a focus on fractions, but students will also practice working with conversions and order of operations. Please download the free preview above to read through the Common Core Alignment to see which standards and addressed in this product.
Included in this center, you will find:
.) Four Leaf Fractions - students convert between improper fractions and mixed numbers.
.) Fractions in Action - students solve four problems requiring them to simplify fractions and four problems requiring students to add and subtract fractions, including mixed numbers, with unlike denominators.
.) Equivalent Fraction Sort - students read two fractions and determine if they are equivalent or not.
.) Know that Number: Fractions - students select a fraction card and complete a variety of activities. Due to the nature of this activity, there is no answer key for this center.
.) Lucky Equivalent Fractions - students write an equivalent fraction by writing a numerator or a denominator.
.) Emerald Isle Equations - students evaluate equations with exponents, decimals and fractions and sort them as true or false.
.) Celtic Conversions - with a reference card available, students complete a conversion such as 10mm = ? cm.
.) Color by Fraction - students color a leprechaun by solving "fraction of" problems (ie 2/3 of 45).
