Description
Make decimal multiplication fun with this St. Patrick’s Day Read the Room or Scoot math activity! Students rotate around the classroom solving multiplication of decimals problems while staying active and engaged. This movement-based math activity helps reinforce decimal multiplication skills while keeping students motivated. Perfect for partner work, small groups, review, or seasonal math practice. Easy to print and use in the classroom.
I love doing scoots in my classroom. They are easy to set up, and the kids love them. Not only that, but scoots foster a higher level of communication and collaboration between students. Having limited amounts of time at each “station” keeps kids on task. Scoots get students out of their seats too! Great for assessing understanding and reviewing material. Geared towards upper elementary and would be fun for homeschoolers too!
This St. Patrick’s Day scoot covers:
- Standard Algorithm practice
- multiplication of decimals
- story problems (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division of decimals)
Included materials:
- Teacher pages
- Scoot Rules
- Student pages
- Answer keys
Here are my other math scoots!
