Celebrate the St. Patrick's holiday by using this fun themed math sheet. This one-page skill sheet is the perfect way to review some basic skills that all relate to the digits "3 ,1, 7". That's right! St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in March, which is the 3rd month. It also falls on the 17th day..... so, the whole page revolves around the digits 3, 1, and 7. It's just a fun way to work the holiday into math.

See a description of the problems below. It could be used as morning work, homework, or even as a warm up for math class on St. Patrick's Day. Use this math activity in your classroom however you would like.

This St. Patrick's Day math sheet designed with fourth graders in mind, but it could also be used as a basic review for fifth graders. See the skill list below to decide if you think it will work for your students.

The problems cover the following concepts using the numbers 3,1,7

Rounding two large numbers to the nearest thousand's place, ten thousand's place, and hundred thousand's place (the numbers have the digits317 in bold)
Write the number 7,429,317 in expanded and word form
List the factors of 17. Tell if it is prime of composite.
Write an improper fraction for the mixed number 3 and 1/7
Write the decimal three and seventeen hundredths in standard form and shade in the decimal amount.
Write a mixed number for the improper fraction 17/3
Solve a word problem using the amount $317. Adding multiply numbers in the problem and then subtraction are needed.
If the time is 3:17, what time was it 7hours and 13minutes earlier? Also, draw the hands on the clock.
Fill in the blanks for the missing money amounts/coins to equal 37cents.
Figure out the missing number pattern, which as the number 3 and 17 in the pattern. (multiply by 2, add 11)
How many sides total would you have if you had 3 quadrilaterals, 1 pentagon, and 7 decagons?
Using the measurements of 3 yards, 1foot, and 7inches, tell the number of total inches.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers with 317 in them.
