This set of open ended activities can be paired with tasks focusing on any goal area while also celebrating the holiday of St. Patrick's Day.
The activities include:
-Shamrock Matching Game
Place all of the cards face down and have the players take turns flipping over two cards to try to find matching shamrocks.
This game can also be used to compare and contrast patterns.
-Fill the Hat with Gold
Each player is provided with a hat. The gold coins are cut out and kept in a pile or container. When it is the student’s turn, he or she rolls a dice and is then able to collect that many coins to place in the hat. At the completion of the activity, the player who collected the most gold coins wins!
-Leprechaun Board Game
Help the leprechaun reach the pot of gold by having the players take turns rolling a dice and advancing that many shamrocks.
-Leprechaun Roll and Color
Color the leprechaun by having a student roll a dice and then color the part that corresponds with the number rolled.
