I've noticed many of you have enjoyed downloading my original Quick Images file so I thought I'd spice things up and make a St. Patrick's Day themed Quick Image file! I've added one extra feature... I've created larger images of both the ten-frame and the dice cards so you can project them or use them as a whole class activity!
You can use these cards during math to work on many different skills. I've included ten-frames, dice and domino cards for the numbers 0-10. I've also included blank cards for you to print and make your own, or laminate them and have students write on the blank cards with dry erase markers for a given number. In the beginning of the year start with the cards that represent the numbers 0-5. Practice showing them to students quickly so they become familiar with various visual images for the numbers. As the year progresses introduce the students to the remainder of the cards. Once you feel the students have a good grasp on recognizing the various cards you can incorporate them into math learning centers. You can also teach the students how to write number sentences using the cards, as well as word problems. Students can also compare the amount of dots on each card. The possibilities are endless!
