This St. Patrick's Day resource is now available as a bundled set with games and vocabulary cards in our store, to save you time and money! St. Patrick's Day Vocabulary Bundle Worksheets Cards and Games - 80 pages OR March Writing Worksheets COMBO St. Patrick's Day and Easter 90 pages

Staple and read the colored book to the class over a week. Complete the worksheets by bundling and adding our smart cover, 'My St. Patrick's Day Booklet'!

This resource aims to give students knowledge of the origins, traditions, symbols, folklore and customs of this popular Irish holiday. In addition, your worksheets also provide students with opportunities to practice reading, handwriting, spelling and writing skills whilst having fun and learning about St. Patrick’s Day.

* Australian teachers: please note that this resource has many American terms and spellings for example, there are many references to spring (Northern Hemisphere reference), and also color rather than colour. Please download the preview for a closer look.

~ How to use this resource: This resource has been designed for teachers to introduce young children to the Irish holiday. Teachers should first read the six page, factual book entitled, ‘A Book All about St. Patrick’s Day’ (pages 5-10) many times prior to completing the ‘about’ worksheets. You should cover the pages of choice from 11-25 that detail the origins, traditions, symbols, folklore and customs of the holiday. Pages 26-38 should complement your language program. Students will enjoy many of these sheets bundled into a work book, using the cover page on page 4.
Teachers must model and demonstrate how to work through each worksheet with young children. The collection of activities is appropriate for kindergarten and grade one with guidance.

****** This file has two sections; the 'about' worksheets and the 'vocabulary' worksheets as well as a colored, factual book which relates to the worksheets.
