Product Description
Need a fresh activity for St. Paddy’s Day? Let students ask REAL questions about the holiday and find out the answers for themselves!

In this short research project, students choose a question from a list of 35 prompts, or come up with their own teacher-approved inquiry question. Next, students complete credible internet research to make a PPT slide (or Word document) of their findings, knowing that their slides will be shared with others.

There are two options for sharing:
• If your school is tech-friendly, students can make QR codes to put onto their slides; these slides can then be printed and displayed for a “gallery walk”, or similar activity to read around the room!
• Short on tech? Students can STILL print their slides for a display to read around the room or make posters with your preferred art supplies!
This project can be conducted in as few as two days, depending on how much time you wish to give for in-class work time (and how long you want to spend sharing).

This EDITABLE 4-page download includes:
• A 2-page directions sheet that includes a description of the project, the list of 35 inquiry questions, and directions on how to make your own QR code (and how to use them later!)
• A 1-page rubric, using CCSS writing standards for grades 6-8
• A 1-page sample project for the class to CRITIQUE, including evaluation questions for class discussion on what a “quality” project should look like.
