These are great activities for math centers! Students practice their number recognition while playing in pairs. Just give them some 2-colored tokens or two bingo daubers and a dice and they are ready to go!
I have included 3 game boards with the numbers 1-6, 1 game board for the numbers 7-12 and 1 game board for numbers 2-12.
There are also 3 recording sheets, one for numbers 1-6, one for 7-12 and one for double dice.
I usually laminate each board for durability. If you make enough copies, you can have your whole class play at the same time! If you do not have a dice that has 7-12 on it, you can easily buy a wooden cube at most major hobby stores and then just draw the pips on with a sharpie - this will help your advanced kiddos get some practice with higher numbers. For the 2-12 game I just give my kiddos 2 dice and have them count both to get a total.
This set is St. Patrick's Day themed with some cute leprechauns, shamrocks and of course pots of gold! I find that my students' interest in the games gets revived when they have a new look, so I create these for all of my themes throughout the year - I will be working on making more of my Roll & Cover Addition & Subtraction games into Number Recognition games soon, if you have any theme you are particularily interested in, please email me at email@example.com and I will bump it to the top of my list :)
I hope your class enjoys these games, and if you're looking for more freebies and ideas please visit my blog, Herding Kats In Kindergarten, at
