You only need 4 materials for this STEM experiment! NO PREP because you can find these already in your classroom!!! With spring break coming up soon, students will love this hands-on activity! Includes multiple graphic organizers and writing templates.
Science: Force and Motion/Pushes and Pulls
Technology: You can incorporate this however you would like by videoing the experiment. Adding it onto PowerPoint or google slides. Use the app, “Seesaw,” to share with parents.
Engineering: Give students the opportunity to explore the materials to how they could create this catapult. Depending the age group, it may need to be heavily guided or teacher can make catapults prior to lesson.
Mathematics: Measurement- Students can measure the distance that each marshmallow or pom-pom travels and compare it to one another. You could incorporate graphing into this as well.
