In this exploration, students will explore the world of colour and light! They will be using chromatography (a technique used to separate out components of a mixture or substance) to separate the pigments in flower petals.
Crystal Shamrocks:
In this activity, students will be exploring crystal formation using a common household chemical (Borax) to create beautiful crystalized shamrocks!
Leprechaun Slime:
In this exploration, students will be discovering non-Newtonian fluids! Students will be making a non-Newtonian fluid commonly known as “Ooblek” which they will compare to Newtonian fluids.
Turning Copper into Gold!
In this laboratory experiment, students will be performing a little bit of Leprechaun alchemy! Using some common chemicals, students will make a copper penny turn to silver and then gold!
