Product Description
This 31 page St. Patrick’s Day download includes 5 different speech/language therapy activities for small groups. Activities are designed to address vocabulary, figurative language, following directions and phonemic awareness.

Synonyms, Antonyms, or Neither?
• Print and cut apart the cards.
• Cards are placed face down in a pile in the center of the table.
• Players take turns drawing a card, reading the pair of words, and placing the card in the correct spot on the sorting mat.
• The open-ended game board may be used with these cards for motivation. Students will have to correctly sort a card in order to roll the die.

Figurative Language Match-Up
• Print cards. Cut apart the cards and spread them out face up on the table.
• Players take turns trying to match a girl and boy to a pot of gold by pairing an Irish saying to its explanation.
• The person with the most cards at the end of the allotted time is the winner.
• Includes answer key.

Multi-syllable Words Sound Blending
• Print the cards. Cut cards apart.
• Adult reads the sounds on the card to the student. Student must blend the sounds to make a word.
• If successful, the student may keep the gold coin.
• The student with the most gold coins at the end of the game is the winner, or, students can count the value of the coins to determine the winner.

Naming Items in a Category
• Print and cut apart the cards.
• Students take turns drawing a card and may only keep the card if he/she can successfully name 5 items in the category.
• Watch out for the wind…it will blow away all your shamrocks!

Following Directions
• Print and laminate (or insert into a plastic sheet protector) a copy of the last page for each student in the group.
• Print and cut apart the directions cards.
• Students take turns drawing a card and following the direction, using a dry erase and the laminated page.
