This resource provides fun and inviting number sense math centers for quantities to 20. This packet has five Ten Frame Clip Card activities. There are 21 clothespin clip cards for each activity. You may use all 21 clip cards for each activity or select the range you want to address for a specific lesson. There are ten frames with St. Patrick’s Day themed pictures and a choice of three numerals printed on each clothespin clip card. The St. Patrick’s Day themed graphics include shamrocks, leprechauns, gold coins, leprechaun hats, and pots of gold.
Print, laminate, and cut out the clothespin clip cards. You will need 21 clothespins for each activity if you use all the cards for quantities of 0-20.
Learners use the ten frames to determine the quantity of St. Patrick’s Day pictures and clip a clothespin to the numeral that corresponds with the quantity represented by the ten frames. They can use dry erase markers to circle the correct numeral instead of clipping a clothespin on the correct numeral. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot. You may place the cards in a dollar store photo album and use dry erase markers to use as a write-on/wipe-off activity. For early finisher activities or take home packets, you may store the cards and clips in a zippered supply pouch.
This resource helps learners develop numeracy and supports the Math Common Core Standards for Counting and Cardinality.
The graphics used in this packet are from Whimsy Clips and My Cute Graphics.
