Description

These St. Patrick's Day activities will make your life easier, and make learning fun for the children! These were designed for second graders to practice important literacy and math skills.

Why use St. Patrick's Day Worksheets and Activities for Literacy and Math? Research tells us that children are drawn to seasonal activities. That means they'll be more likely to practice skills that come with a seasonal theme. Plus, these are easy for the teacher: No prep! Just download and print!

How it works: These printables are to make a teacher's life easier, and learning practice for the children more fun! These worksheets are easy to print and go! They're perfect if you are out sick or out for a meeting and have to leave something for a sub, since they won't interfere with the unit you're working on.

What's included: This set of activities reviews the following concepts: making predictions, visualization, syllables, antonyms, synonyms, word problems, balancing equations, and basic addition and subtraction facts. There are 6 math printables, 4 reading activities, one writing prompt with 2 choices of paper, and 6 pages of St. Patrick's Day word work. Answer keys are included.

These activities don’t require any cutting, laminating, or tracing. Just print and go! They are designed to give a meaningful experience with minimal instruction, and won’t interfere with any units you’re working on.

Use these printables when:

• You’re out sick

• You’ve got a meeting and have to leave the children with someone else

• You’ve been too busy (meetings, report cards and conferences?) to plan.

• The kids are getting restless, and need something fun and holiday-related.

• I’m sure you can think of more reasons to use these activities!
