The Presentation begins with a starter activity - the lead up to St Valentines celebrations - stores displaying Valentine related items, such as cards, Valentine balloons, chocolates, gifts.
The PowerPoint Presentation then leads into the story of St Valentine, his run-in with Claudius II, curing the jailer's blind daughter and symbols relating to the celebration.
Reflection - Students learn that Valentine's Day isn't just about romance but has other meanings, e.g. Love is patience, kindness etc.
Worksheet 1 - children write in a few sentences what love is... An example is given
Worksheet 2 - Jumbled sentences and words - students rearrange each sentence and add a period/full stop. The second part is to sort out jumbled words using the pictures as clues.
2 Word Searches containing related vocabulary - in upper and lower case letters.
