The staff appreciation cards pack is something you can use throughout the year. Some staff members don’t get thanked often enough. Did the janitor help a student who spilled their milk? Did the librarian take a lot of time with a student to find the perfect book? Everyone loves to get kid created thank you cards. Students can show appreciation by coloring, writing, and drawing on the card.
This bundle pack includes 7 different card themes. Each theme has an option of two cards for differentiation. One copy has lines that could be used to write a letter, poem, story, or simple note. The other copy has an open space that could be used for writing or drawing. This is especially helpful for younger or struggling students that want to say thank you in a different way. That makes a total of 14 cards.
In my classroom, I have used these cards in many ways. I might have the entire class make a card for the principal or have the class make cards for the custodian and staple them together to make a book. I also have all of the cards available during free time. Sometimes a student will want to make a card for their bus driver or reading teacher. Additionally, these cards are really cute for teaching a lesson in writing workshop. Kids are encouraged to write letters and poems on fun paper.
The bundle pack can be used for a variety of staff members, these are just some people that I thought of: lunch ladies, lunch para-professionals, secretary, custodian, reading teacher, librarian, principal, nurse, bus driver, computer teacher, library paraprofessionals.
Lastly, I think it’s important to show kids how powerful hand written thank you cards can be. Plus, your co-workers will love you for making their day!
