I worked in a classroom with two paraprofessionals. I struggled with providing an organized way to determine roles in the room. Finally, I created a list of the duties for before, during, and after school. I sat down with both ladies and asked them what they would like to do. This way, they had some ownership and interest in what they were doing.
The second portion of this document are the rules and routines of the classroom. The routines range from lunch to what to do in a criss. In this particular setting, we were certified for restraints. The specific language that we used is listed. This ensured consistency and alleviated confusion.
