- I created these worksheets to allow students to practice composing in Latin. They use the Cambridge Latin course vocabulary and grammar suited for each stage. Words that are not included in the Cambridge vocabulary yet are glossed. The sentences focus on new grammatical concepts and also the recycling of old concepts. When I use them, they are used as a formative assessment. I go around and circle in pencil any items that need to be corrected. The students work in pairs or table groups to complete the worksheet. They can turn them in after I have checked off all the sentences.
- I have provided this in a Word document so that you can edit to suit your classroom.
- In this stage there are two versions of the same sentences; one version gives the students the forms of the verbs, while the second assumes they know how to conjugate already.
- The thumbnails show the first of the 10 sentences.
