Product Description
Many plays are great literature on their own, however plays are meant to be performed. This project is meant to allow students the chance to be creative in how they interpret the themes and story of a play. Some plays, such as most of those by Shakespeare, can be set in many different places and times. This project allows students to explore those different times while requiring research and planning. Each student is given a job - Director, Costume Designer, Set Designer, or Dramaturge - in the production of the play. One scene is staged and performed (or videoed) as the culmination of the project.
