I am going to use the following stamina necklaces/coupons/certificates while introducing the Daily 5. Building stamina is one of the most important parts of implementing Daily 5. I will start out by giving these to one boy & one girl in each group (5 centers going on). I will give this to the students who are demonstrating appropriate daily 5 behaviors. After our stamina is built to 20 minutes I will introduce the next set of necklaces. I will look for students in Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Listen to Reading & Work on Writing who are good role models, are independent & actively engaged. My students LOVE when I make necklaces but you might choose to use these as coupons or certificates. I print out on card stock, laminate. The students wear the necklace for the day & return it.
