Stand Up. Sit Down. Pass It Around.
is a brand-new series of games that offer teachers a low-prep, no-grading alternative to worksheet reviews. The idea is three-fold. First, developing metacognitive thinking skills about English language grammar rules leads to greater success in applying those rules in future writing activities. Next, not every language-based lesson requires a pencil. Essential reinforcement occurs during oral language activities - while also helping students develop an "ear" for correct grammar usage. And finally, just as important as content learning - kids need multiple opportunities throughout the school day to get up and move around.
Our full-length Stand-Sit-Pass games provide you with:
• Two (2) Sets of 24 Word Cards
• Two (s) Sets of Question Prompts
• Answer Key
• Grammar Rule Review Sheet
• Blank Word Cards (to add more words to the game)

Stand-Sit-Pass: Plural Nouns
Review how to form Plural Nouns with your students. Our list of words give students a chance to think about whether they should add an -S or -ES to the end of a noun. Should they double the final consonant first? Do they need to worry about the final "Y"? Is the singular and plural form the same or is it irregular?
While students practice their grammar skills and develop an ear for correct language usage, you'll also be reviewing compound words during the Pass It round of the game. As with all Everyday Learning
Stand Sit Pass games, our word lists include grade-appropriate and challenge words so you can easily differentiate for your advanced students.
Stand-Sit-Pass is a review game. This packet does not include lesson plans for initially teaching the targeted grammar concept. The game does, however, include a Grammar Review Sheet in case you need to re-teach certain rules.
