Teacher needs to pre-print and cut the 12 equation cards. Partners (or individuals) use the worksheet (optional) to show their work to convert the SF into SI. Students can self assess as they go, because if they do not get the answer on the card, they know they have converted incorrectly. Equations are purposefully written with opposite slopes and y-intercepts to have students focus closely positives and negatives to ensure accuracy when converting between forms.
Can be done in partners or individual.
Can be done as intro, practice or review.
Print the page of 12 cards (page 3) on varying colors of paper, cut apart and store in individual envelopes. Each set of 12 should be on a different color paper (in case students drop pieces) and stored in its own envelope. One envelope per pair of students. Keep and store your envelopes to use again next year!
