I use these Literature Circle "jobs" instead of the original jobs, like "Illustrator", "Discussion Leader", etc. I pre-test my students, determine which standard(s) they need to work on, and then assign the "job" based on each student's needs. I group students by standard, so they may work together and discuss. Students love it because they are not in the "low" group, they all have something to work on and a variety of students are in each group.
