Oh No! The Gingerbread Man is on the loose again! Build a trap to catch him before he gets away againHelp catch the Gingerbread Man once and for all in this engaging STEM challenge that builds off of the classic story.
This hands-on STEM challenge gets students designing, constructing, and testing like real engineers! Trap requirements add an extra challenge, while still allowing for plenty of open-ended creativity. Once the designing is done, the Group Awards will help you recognize students who went above and beyond in their design elements, teamwork, and neatness.
Students will design and build a Gingerbread Man trap using materials you already have in your classroom! (My personal favorites are legos, dominoes, popsicle sticks, and other math manipulatives.) Then, students will need to create "bait" to place inside their trap to catch that speedy cookie.
