I use Star Dollars to encourage positive behavior in my classroom. Students can earn Star Dollars for following directions, staying quiet in the hallway, receiving a compliment from an enrichment teacher, etc.
On Fridays, students turn in Star Dollars for small rewards like pencils and erasers. I also include bigger ticket items, like Lunch With the Teacher, Swap Seats With a Friend, and Furry Friend (students can bring a stuffed animal to class). This helps me limit the amount of money I spend on rewards.
The packet includes templates for Star Dollars. To Prepare, print out templates on colored paper. You will want a heavy duty paper, like cardstock or construction paper. Laminate for durability and cut out. The colors that I recommend on the templates correspond to the Astrobrights Neon packet.
