I use these star slips as a positive reminder and reinforcement that good behavior is realized and recognized. Students collect star slips over the course of a week or two and place them in a drawing for prizes at the end of that week. It's a simple, cute and easy way for students to get continually recognized for their positive behavior.
It works well to write a little note on the back of the slip so parents can take part in the good choices their children are making.
Students look forward to receiving these slips, are encouraged by their arrival on their desks, and are proud to show them off to their parents.
