Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland is the birthplace of the United States national anthem, which was written by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812. Celebrate the 200th birthday of the Star Spangled Banner on September 14 with your students using this PowerPoint presentation which tells the story of this momentous event in words and original photographs taken by the author.
