Thank you for purchasing the Star Wars Equivalent Fractions Bump Games. This set of five engaging games are designed so that your students can demonstrate a knowledge of equivalent fractions in a fun and interactive way.
Included in this packet you will find:
- Five printable equivalent fractions bump games
- Three printable 12 sided dice
Bump games are designed for two players. In addition to the game board and one of the printable dice, you will also need some sort of playing pieces for each player. I like to use unifix cubes, but any sort of small counter or token will also work. Each player will need 10 playing pieces.
Even though only one dice is needed, I have included THREE printable 12 sided dice. One of these will be necessary to play-- a traditional 6 sided dice cannot be used. Each dice contains the same fractions, but in different formats.
- One contains a fraction picture that is Death Star themed
- One contains a traditional fraction
- One contains fractions written as words
I feel that this differentiation allows your students to demonstrate a deeper knowledge and understanding as they play.
Students will roll the dice and find a fraction that is equivalent to the one they rolled on the game board. They will use a playing token to cover that space. If another player rolls the same fraction, they can bump that piece from the space!
The instructions are printed right at the bottom of the game board, so students can easily reference them if they forget how to play.
Bump games are fast paced and an engaging activity which means that students are having fun and learning at the same time. Bump games are ideal for math centers, early finishers, small group instruction, and even as a little extra take home activity for students to do with their parents.
Thank you again for your purchase. I hope you enjoy the Star Wars Equivalent Fractions Bump Games as much as I do.
