Dear Educator,

Thank you for purchasing the Star Wars Graph a Noun Activity. This activity is a fun and engaging way to work on identifying types of nouns and data collection, as well as interpreting the data in numerous different ways.

Included in this packet you will find:

- 48 cards with Star Wars related nouns (16 each of people, places, and things)
- TWO Graph a Noun Recording Sheets with easy method to help kids track of how many cards they have drawn
- Three Data Sheets
- Answer Sheet with Star Wars related nouns listed under correct category

One thing that I love to do is incorporate multiple subject areas into one activity. Perhaps that is why I am completely smitten with this Graph A Noun activity. Students will work to identify which of the three types of nouns a given word is. Then, they will graph the results and complete math problems based upon the data collected. I have even thrown in a drawing activity to take it even further!

How it works: There are 48 noun cards that are perfect for your little Star Wars loving students. Students will draw one card at a time and decide whether the word on the card is a person, place, or thing. One recording sheet simply asks students to color a box in the appropriate column for that type of noun. The other recording sheet asks students to write the word in the box. This is a great way to check and see if your students have identified the words correctly. Students will draw a total of 24 cards and there is a handy number line at the top of the recording sheet to keep them on track.

After completing the graph, there are three optional data sheets you can use to extend the activity. The first two are math related and ask students to add or multiply results from their graph, compare results using greater than, less than, or equal to, and order results from greatest to least. The third sheet asks students to choose a noun from each category and draw it.

The Graph A Noun activity is great for use in math centers, as a fun task for early finishers and eager learners, or even as an engaging take home activity for students to complete with their parents. It even works well as a small group activity for several students to complete together.

Thank you again for your purchase of the Star Wars Graph A Noun Activity. I hope that you love it as much as I do.
