Cooperative group learning activity for Math. Students work in groups to solve algebra problems using clue cards. Each person's unique clue card must work as one piece of the whole to solve the puzzle.
You can call this a game-like activity. What is special about this amazing activity is how well it succeeds in encouraging students to think for themselves while at the same time learning how others may solve problems in a different ways.
In addition, students will learn and practice:
-sharing of information
There are 4 separate and unique puzzles to solve as a group. This is best done in math centers. Watch how excited students will be when they come up with a solution for you to check. My students cannot get enough of it.
