This is my way of recognising students in my classroom as ‘star of the week’ or student of the week. I love the bright colours in the certificate or to save on ink you could print the black and white on coloured paper. Print them 2 to a page if you would like a smaller option. The two lines at the bottom are where I write my name and the date.
The star profile is something I started with my students many years ago and they LOVE it! I have used this in many year levels as well. The template is editable so that you can insert a photo of the child in the box and then change to the student’s name where I have typed ‘Name’. I then print the profile (colour or print the black and white on coloured paper) and then fill in the part for what the teacher thinks. I just use a list of one word describers. We then fill in the “friends think” part as a class. I then send it home for the family to fill in the rest. The child then brings it back to school and it is displayed in the window for the week before being replaced by the next child’s. I laminate them and store them in a display folder in our reading corner and hand them back to the students at the end of the term/year. This is an editable powerpoint document.
I have included a boy and girl version of the star profile… just saves you having to remember to change the he/she!
