Product Description
This activity uses the STAR CHART FOR THE NORTHERN SKY, another activity available for purchase from Michael F. Ryan.

Several cultures around the world have created stories about Polaris, The North Star. Chinese mythology tells the story of Tou Mu, Goddess of the North Star. A Navaho myth relates when the Great Spirit placed a star in the sky to help the people find their way at night. That same story relates how Coyote messed up the pictures of the animals in the night sky. In addition, there is an Iroquois story about a hunting party who got lost and was helped by little people who put the North star in the sky. These stories are related in this product.
